there's no real bitterness, but there's some

lessons he learned that he's passing on to

you and me. That seems to be the book of

Ecclesiastes. Now, the date is around 1000

BC. I'm just rounding things off.

I believe that the purpose of the book of

Ecclesiastes is to cause you and me to take

a serious look at life in relation to God's

Word. As a matter of fact, the book is a

search for the key to the meaning of life. As

we read through this book, we find that it is

aimed at anyone who tries to figure out life

apart from God, and Solomon even fell into

that category for a period of time. The book

demonstrates to man that which is “under
