turned to God from idols to serve the living

and true God.” Notice they turned from

idols to God. That's an about-face. That’s

not works. They're not trying to earn their

salvation. They received Christ as Lord; in

other words, they turned to God from their

idols to serve the living and true God. They

received Christ as both Lord and Savior.

Receiving Christ is not receiving Him as

Savior and then later trying to make Him

Lord. Now, again, there's a whole lot more

I could say about this, but I'm going to bring

this to a conclusion in a little bit. Again, we

could talk about all the statements that

both sides have made over the last 50 or 60

years, and I just don't think that would be

beneficial. What we're doing this morning is
