You can't choose the part of Christ you

want — “Well, I'll take Him as Savior, but I'm

not going to take Him as Lord.” When we

had a flea market ministry, a man came to

me and said, “I know what you believe and

I know your other preacher friend over

here,” and he sat with me for 30 to 45

minutes and let me speak to him. And my

preacher friend had already told me the

man had been a drunk most of his life. And

he sat down, and he looked a little like he

might be under conviction. He finally said to

me, “Preacher, I'll receive Christ as my

Savior, but I will not receive him as Lord.”

He actually said that. That’s the first time I

ever heard anybody say that. He said, “I will

not give up my drinking.” I said, “Let me do
