In John 6 and verse 66 I mentioned this

to you earlier that there were disciples

following the Lord, and when the Lord got

serious with them, they walked away and

never followed Him again. Why? Because

John 8:31 says, “If ye continue in my word,

then are ye my disciples indeed.” Matthew

19, verses 21 through about 23, is the

narrative of the rich young ruler. Do you

know the real problem that the Lord was

targeting in his life? The Lord knew he

couldn’t keep the commandments.

Remember, the rich young ruler was talking

about the commandments, and then Jesus
