and give to the poor. The Lord wasn't after

that. The Lord was after his heart. His real

issue was the Lordship of Christ, the

Lordship of God. And do you know what he

did? He was sorrowful and he walked away

because he couldn't submit. The Lord

wasn't trying to tell him, “You can be saved

if you'll sell everything you have and keep

all the commandments.”

In Exodus 5 and verse 2, Pharaoh said,

“Who is the LORD, that I should obey his

voice…,” and we know that Pharaoh never

did obey the Lord. Polycarp, a second
