P. 70

Now back to Romans 10 and we'll close.

So salvation begins with confessing that

Jesus Christ is Lord. It all begins there. And

once we do that, it continues there

throughout our entire life. He is precious to

us. Yes, He's our Savior, but He's also our

Lord; He owns us; He has redeemed us; we

have been bought with a price; we no

longer belong to ourselves. And I want to

say to you again that the Lordship of Christ

is not a secondary act after salvation. Oh,

yes, every day we can call Him Lord and we

can confirm in our own hearts that He's our

Lord and we can submit unto Him on a daily

basis — which we should — but the Lordship

of Christ is not a secondary act after

salvation. It is an integral part of the gospel
