So we're living in the last days. In 2 Timothy,

chapter 3 — and, again, there are many

sermons in these verses, so let me just read

them and briefly comment on them. But notice

the things that characterize or mark the last

days. Verse 1 says, “This know also, that in the

last days perilous times shall come”— difficult

times, hard times. God's people who have

stood for the Word and have not apostatized

have always had to pay the price. Paul says in

verses 2 to 5 of 2 Timothy, chapter 3, “For men

shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,

boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to

parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural

affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,

incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are

good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of

pleasures” — Does that sound like America
