On my way to Mississippi two months ago,
a man called me. He's on our mailing list, and
he's out of Virginia. He began speaking to me
about what was going on in his church. And
between the music, the youth, the compromise
and the devaluing, I guess, of the doctrines and
truths of the Word of God, a number of things
have led me to speak on this this morning.
As we begin here in 2 Thessalonians, chapter
2, keep in mind that when we speak of
apostasy, apostasy can apply to an individual, it
can apply to a church as a whole, or it can apply
to a nation. Second Thessalonians, chapter 2,
verses 1 through 4 says:
(1) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our
gathering together unto him,
