Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead

                                                                                       2
             at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the

             word;  be  instant  in  season,  out  of  season;

             reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering

             and doctrine. For the time will come” — we’re

             there — “For the time will come when they will

             not endure sound doctrine; but after their own

             lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,

             having itching ears.” Now, notice the next

                                             4
             verse. He said, “And they shall turn away their

             ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto

             fables.” A fable is the opposite of "Thus saith

             the Lord." It is the total opposite of that. So

             fables turn people from the faith and distort

             the truth.

               The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:7 that we are to

             exercise ourselves unto godliness, which is the

             total opposite of fables. Titus 2:10 says to adorn
