account from God’s Word will believe it and

be saved. But those who dismiss the gospel

will stand accountable before God one day

for rejecting God’s one and only provision

for forgiveness of sins, and in that sense,

God’s Word will not return unto Him void

but will accomplish God’s purpose.

First Timothy 4:2 speaks of those in the

latter times whose consciences are “seared

with a hot iron” and will not listen to or

believe the Word of God, and Jesus told his

disciples in Matthew 10:14 (which can also

apply to our day), “And whosoever shall not

receive you, nor hear your words, when ye

depart out of that house or city, shake off
