and, in so doing, receive eternal life.

Only God can spiritually impart salvation

to a person’s heart. We can’t “make it

happen” by our own cleverness, ingenuity,

communication skills, or by our “dynamic”
personality or persuasiveness. Our

responsibility as Christians is to simply plant

the seed of God’s Word into the heart and

mind of those who will receive it or to

cultivate the seed that has already been

planted, but only God can supernaturally

create new life and produce subsequent

spiritual growth within the soul of a

repentant sinner. The apostle Paul said in 1

Corinthians 3, verses 5 through 7, “Who

then is Paul, and who is
