and then He identified God’s truth as the

Word of God. Christians who love as God

loves will love and desire God’s Word. In

fact, 1 Peter 2:2 commands new Christians

especially to “desire the sincere milk of the

word, that ye may grow thereby,” and Jesus

said in Matthew 4:4, “It is written, Man shall

not live by bread alone, but by every

word that proceedeth out of the mouth of

God.”

First Peter 1:23 tells us that Christians

are “born again, not of corruptible seed, but

of incorruptible, by the word of God, which

liveth and abideth for ever,” and when

David prayed to God in Psalm 119:11, he
