after His resurrection, the disciples declared

in Luke 24:32, “Did not our heart burn

within us, while he talked with us by the

way, and while he opened to us the

scriptures?” God’s kind of love for truth will

be stirred and revived by God’s Word and

will allow God’s truths to penetrate and

permeate the soul and produce Christ-like

qualities in one’s life. In 1 Thessalonians

2:13 the apostle Paul commended the

Thessalonian believers for the way they

related to the Word of God: “For this cause

also thank we God without ceasing,

because, when ye received the word of God

which ye heard of us, ye received it

the word of men, but as it is in truth,
