God that is grossly overlooked today. God is

not “gooey-sweet” in His attitude toward sin.

Jesus wasn’t concerned about being “nice.”

He courageously confronted and exposed sin.

Likewise, believers should not compromise

obedience to God’s Word just to be “nice.”

The solid foundation that Christians stand

upon is Jesus Christ Himself (1 Cor. 3:11) and

God’s Word. Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass

withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of

our God shall stand for ever.”

Psalms 12 & 13

In Psalm 12 David describes the hearts of the

people to be much like they were before God

sent the flood in Noah’s day — “God saw

that the wickedness of man was great in the

earth, and that every imagination of the

thoughts of his heart was only evil
