4y MC Golden Retriever with ataxia and weakness. The right optic nerve is mildly enlarged and is T1 isointense and T2 hyperintense
(a,b,d: arrow). There is also a slight bulge of the optic disc, best seen on the dorsal plane T2 image (a: arrowhead). The nerve moderately
enhances following contrast administration (c,e: arrow). Postmortem examination confirmed granulomatous meningoencephalitis
involving the brain and the right optic nerve. The MR features of the optic nerve lesion are subtle in this patient.
