11y MC Domestic Shorthair with 2‐month history of weight loss, lethargy, and coughing. Volume depletion of the left lung is associated
with compensatory hyperinflation of the right lung (a). A moderately enhancing soft‐tissue attenuating mass is present at the level of the
origin of the left mainstem bronchus (c: arrows) and extends into the right mainstem bronchial lumen (b: arrow). The heterogeneous
appearance of the atelectatic left lung is due to contrast‐enhanced lung parenchyma surrounding fluid‐filled airways or fluid broncho
grams (c,d: arrowheads). The intraluminal component of the mass is clearly identified bronchoscopically (e). The microscopic diagnosis
from excisional biopsy was bronchial carcinoma.
