4y MC Miniature Schnauzer cross. Chronic respiratory signs since 3 months of age. Progressive exercise intolerance and increased respira
tory effort over the past 8 months. Marked saccular bronchiectasis is seen on radiographs and is most pronounced in the right middle
and cranial lung lobes (a: arrowheads). On CT images acquired caudal to the carina, the mainstem bronchi are seen (b,c: arrowheads) as
are markedly sacculated and dilated cranial lung lobe bronchi (b,c: arrows). Right cranial and caudal lung lobe bronchiectasis is also seen
on dorsally reformatted images (d: arrows). Bronchoscopic examination further documented severe, sacculated bronchiectasis, as repre
sented by the marked bronchial luminal dilatation (e: arrowheads). Bronchoalveolar lavage cytology documented mixed neutrophilic and
eosinophilic inflammation and epithelial hyperplasia.
