a meeting with the managing director of PT KCIC, the minister ensured that Chinese foreign
workers involved in the project possessed capabilities in line with the proposed RPTKA and a
transfer of knowledge took place from foreign workers to their local counterparts.

Of the 12 thousand workforce involved in the Jakarta-Bandung fast train project, some two
thousand are Chinese workers, while the rest are Indonesian workers. The Chinese workers are
being hired since the directions to use the equipment are in Mandarin language.
Dwiputra ensured that once the transfer of knowledge is conducted, the foreign workers would
return to their country, and the Indonesian workers will conduct further operations.

"This project is expected to run to meet our expectations and be handled properly by the Chinese
and Indonesian governments. It is expected to be operated in 2022," she added.
