It is also important for US companies to increase investment in Indonesian job training
centers as part of the efforts to help the Indonesian government improve the
               competency of local workers.

Jakarta - The Indonesian government has invited United States investors to facilitate
the development of Indonesian human resources through investment.

"I hope for the support of the US-ASEAN (Business) Council to provide capacity-building
assistance and scholarships to the Indonesian workforce to enable them to compete in
the global market," Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah noted in a press statement
               released on Friday.

Fauziyah remarked that the Indonesian government, under the leadership of President
Joko Widodo, is prioritizing the development of human resources for which support from
various parties, including US companies, are direly required.

"It is also important for US companies to increase investment in Indonesian job training
centers as part of the efforts to help the Indonesian government improve the
competency of local workers," she added.

According to the Manpower Ministry, Indonesia has a total of 305 job training centers
               across the country.

The US-ASEAN Business Council is a leading advocacy group aimed at fostering
economic growth and trade ties between the US and 10 ASEAN member countries:
Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore,
               Thailand, and Vietnam.
