Huge Thankyou’s for 2008

• To Secretary Manager Tony Jones and The Board of Club Old Bar for their ongoing sponsorship.
The Clams have therefore been able to show continued growth both on and off the field. Club Old
Bar’s Major sponsorship for The Clams has also been very much appreciated by our Club. This
year we were able to offer something in return to Club Old Bar with the outstanding success of
‘The Old Bar Idol’.

• To Coach Jack Mundey. His first attempt at coaching and his mighty effort was very much
appreciated by the committee and well respected by the players. A great effort Jack, especially
not missing a match and all but two training sessions since early January.

• To Darren Drury, Chris (Georgie) Mylonas and Monster Kennewell for their support of Jack
especially Darren. Having a person of Darren’s experience and guidance involved with our club
is a very solid feeling.

• To Iggy McCarthy for once again coordinating the annual Clam’s ‘Shave for a Cure’. While we
only had the time this year to hold two events, once again our effort was first class. Raising funds
in excess of thousands of dollars is a huge effort and Iggy is a Clam’s legend for us but more
importantly for Leukaemia. Our events this year were held at Taree West Bowling Club and Club
Old Bar. Legend mate !

• To Andrew McEachern & Sharon McCarthy from Office Data Systems for assisting the Club
with Printing, Stationery, equipment and supplies.

• To Richard Everingham , Bruce Johnson & Daryl Bensen for serving in our Bar Caravan on
numerous occasions.

• To John Scott our Treasurer for once again handling The Club’s finances and helping at our matches.

• To Billy, our ground set up helper. Billy was new to our Club this year and we look
forward to his continual help in 2009.

• To Wazza Lambert, Chad & Staff who once again provided much more than the promised
sponsorship of meat & goods. Wazza also assists with many chores when asked and is willing to
help our Club whenever he can. We say the same about Wazza every year. AND AGAIN THIS
YEAR. WHY NOT, HE IS ALSO A LEGEND !!

• To Chad Lambert, Bruce & Pam Johnson, Andy Ellem and Jack Mundey who gave their valuable
time to officiate at our weekly Club fundraiser ‘Bar Trivia’ every Tuesday night.

• To the 23 guys who went to the end of the season trip to Melbourne. What a very happy gathering
of Clams. Not a single argument, only the chooks and duck could lay claims to a complaint!!!
Meanwhile another half dozen players enjoyed a get together as they were unable to travel to
Melbourne. Well done Nigel for this arranged camping trip.

• To Brad Lewis who made himself available to help the Clams on every occasion when working
bee’s were organised throughout the year. Also home game set up Well done Brad.

• To Leigh Woodhouse who also receives a very special mention for his continual help with our
home game set up.

• To Terry Yates, John Scott, Adam Jarvis & Brad Lewis who gate collected at The Final.

• To John Buckingham for his terrific advertising in his Old Bar Gazette. Much obliged John.

• To Daryl Gardiner who kindly videoed our Grand Final match. Hope to see you again Daryl.
