The Grand Final of The Old Bar Idol was held on Easter Sunday afternoon at
Club Old Bar.

We had much pleasure announcing the contestants who were successful at the Final:-

Chris Bofinger, a 15year old guitarist and vocalist from Bulahdelah won the Teen
category with an outstanding performance.

Shaun Dun, a born performer who brilliantly performed ‘Let me entertain you’ –
Robbie Williams won the Senior Idol category.

Tenika Vakauta, from the Teen category after three weeks of brilliant performances
Won the exiting $300 ‘Turn Around Music’ recording session.

The runners-up in both categories, talented Morgan Sheather (Teen) and the
fantastically popular Sid McLean(Senior) displayed extreme talent and were very close
to the top prize.

All contestants should be extremely proud of their achievement and they provided the community with
the highest quality entertainment. We will see them back in action next year when we do it all again.

A massive ‘Thank You’ to Club Old Bar, Bass & Blues Music, Turn Around Music Taree, The
Manning River Times, Radio 2RE MAX FM, The Pelican Post News, CTC Old Bar & Leading Edge
Music Taree for their valued sponsorship.

A big thank you to the public for their gold coin donation to Camp Memories, Pampoolah. Our
Rugby Club was delighted to hand over a cheque worth $1000 to May & Kevin Sharp on behalf
of Camp Memories. A raffle, kindly donated by Mr Ray Campbell of Coopernook also raised $220
for Camp Memories.

A huge Thank You to all concerned with The Inaugural Old Bar Idol.
