President’s Report
Nigel Hoy NIGEL HOY
What a year for the Clams! Each year when we start the season, the Clams Executive ponder what
the year will bring for our Club and Rugby in our area. I think we can say beyond a doubt this has
been one of the most productive and successful years for the Clams and rugby in the Mid North
Coast Zone. The commitment and growing community support truly reflects the positive culture of
the Old Bar Clams and Rugby in the Southern Zone.
We have a strategic plan for the Clams and a vision for the future with new sporting facilities and a
continual desire to improve our profile both on and off the field. These plans cannot be achieved
without the support of our sponsors, volunteers, players and families, and for this commitment I am
thankful.
To Jack for taking on one of the hardest roles, I would like to thank-you for your commitment in
getting us to the grand final, your ability to motivate and make us competitive has been fantastic.
To Crooksy, not much to say but your commitment to the Club and the players is beyond
description. The work you put in and the time spent on getting the job done is amazing, I keep
looking for the cape, mate super effort, we would not be the club we are today without you.
So with the season now finished and the boots hung up to air, some might say we are done and
dusted for the year….YOUR WRONG.
We have the Old Bar Tens (Old Bar Festival), A Golf Day, The Christmas raffle, and Clams
Christmas party just to name a few. We need your support, so help us and help where you can.
The foundation has been set for the future of the Clams, it is now up to us to
make the most of it.
Best wishes for 2009
Nigel Hoy
