Pre Season Trials
* 8/3 Medowie (home) - Defeated Medowie 15 - 5. Our first win ever against a
competitive Medowie team. Great effort by Nigel Hoy
who ref,d for 13 minutes(never again) and Fish who
completed the referring with much vigor!!!
* 15/ 3 Forster 10’s (Forster) - Performed well but knocked off by all teams and
proves we have to prepare better for 10’s rugby
* 29/3 Kempsey (Kempsey) - Played very well to be beaten by a field goal with a
minute left on the clock. Most encouraging.
The Old Bar Clams fielded one team this season for the First Grade competition. The Club
was also able to field a 10’s Reserve grade team to compete against Forster on three occasions
as well, during 2008.
We are very proud of our Club’s achievement throughout the season. Runners up in First
Grade to Forster was a great effort. We had windows of opportunity to win but we will be
more experienced next time around.
