FIGURE-EIGHT
       KNOTS IN SERIES

       Making a number of these
       knots in small stuff can
       produce delicate chains and
       necklaces. etc.
       Me/hod
Extend the cord on a level
       surface and form a figure
eight (1). To do this make a
       large loop by twisting the
       right wrist counterclockwise.
then twist the end of the loop
       clockwise to form the eight.
Take care not to twist the
       standing part along its length.
Form as many figure eights as
       desired at regular intervals (2,
       3); then insert the end
       through the upper loops of
       those formed. working from
right to left (4, 5). Pulling the
       end through the upper loops
       along the rope makes the
       knots (6,7,8, g).
