Weipa Houseboats
If you’re travelling with a group, what better accommodation
option in Weipa than a floating one? Weipa Houseboats will hire a
fully equipped houseboat for up to 10 people and cruise or fish
Albatross Bay and its connecting river systems to your heart’s
content. A recreational boat licence is required to operate the
houseboat and optional tender.
Eating and Dining
Weipa offers quite a range of dining opportunities from
restaurant/bistro service, cafes, bakery, take-aways and
food/coffee van service. Keep an eye out too for the food vans
and mobile vendors offering fast and fresh take-away food,
coffee and ice creams – you’ll find them opposite the shopping

Carpentaria Golf Club
The 9-hole, 18 tee course with tree-lined fairways and greens
provides an opportunity to play a challenging round or two. It’s
an attractive and well-maintained course – you can hire all you
need at the fully equipped pro shop.

Being a public course, it’s open to all, but do check tee time
availability as some times are reserved for club events,
especially over weekends.

You don’t have to play a round though to visit ‘Golfies’ licensed
bistro in the clubhouse for lunch or dinner and choose from
their appetising menu. You’ll also find a fully licensed bar,
gaming facilities and bottle shop.
