I’m Travelling on my Own Will I Meet Other People on
the Road?
Sixty thousand plus people travel to Cape York every year over
the tourist season. That’s about ten thousand a month. So yes,
you will meet many other travellers – to the point when
travelling on the PDR and Bamaga Road you’ll be wishing there
were a whole lot less. Most tourists doing the OTT are more
than happy to offer advice and lend a hand. Lifetime friendships
are often formed on the Cape.
Where Do I Need to Book a Site/Permit?
**Unless stated, you do not need a permit**
