Can I Light a Fire?
Absolutely. Just make sure you collect your firewood prior to
getting to your intended camp. Most popular campsites and
campgrounds have been picked clean within a couple of
kilometres. National Parks do not allow you to remove fallen
timber, again collect your timber prior to reaching a NP.

Will I get Phone Reception?
Not a lot. You will get coverage – depending on your service
provider – at Lakeland, Laura, Coen, Archer River Roadhouse,
Weipa and north of the Jardine Ferry – BP Bamaga provides free
WIFI. Most roadhouses have Roaming Wi-Fi, however, it doesn’t
come cheap. Telstra is the only provider on Cape York.
