Throughout the trip, I kept the peak on. The Krios is designed to easily remove the peak for touring mode, but it never
caused me any issues so didn’t feel the need. On the highway, it is a little noisier than my touring helmet with the peak on.
Aerodynamically I was surprised at how comfortable it was, even when riding with a strong gusty side wind.
It also has an off-road mode, allowing you to take the visor off and use goggles. In all, offering 4 different styles with a quick
easy no-tool system for changing once you practice it a couple of times. I initially had difficulty as the information in the box
was lacking but a quick ‘YouTube’ tutorial put me on track.
ADVENTURE Finally, it uses a Fid-lock strap closure system. Its magnetic under-the-chin fastener is extremely easy to use, the magnet
guiding the components into position and snapping shut. I was able to use it with my gloves on and simple to pull open yet
remain secure while wearing the helmet.
HEAD
KLIM KRIOS PRO.
The Klim Krios Pro is at the top
of the pricing range but ticked
all the boxes for what I was
wanting in a helmet that I wear
for long distances, including
trips lasting up to a month and
combining off-road situations.
