Kalbarri Rally 4th, 5th, 6th
June 2022
This was our 11th WA Rally and, with 82 registered, our
equal largest.
We returned to Kalbarri this year, a town devastated by
cyclone Seroja last year.
Unfortunately, the caravan park kitchen was a little on the
small size, so we had to bring BBQ’s, marquees, trestles and
chairs 600klms from home.
The ride on Saturday took in the Meanarra Lookout before
riding to the spectacular Skywalk high above the Murchison
River gorges.
Sunday’s ride was a little more sedate, taking in the coastal
cliff lookouts dotted along the coast, with whales and a
playful seal spotted by the patient members.
I think everyone had a great weekend, with temperatures
in the mid 20’s, and we would like to thank all our volunteer
helpers that made our job a lot easier on the weekend.
Regards, Chris #25012 & Dianna #31050 Glover.
Forster in Tuncurry
Left to right Kris Bentley, Phil Lee, Peter Bentley, Jodie
Hardinge, Brian Aviet
The Forster Branch were flying the flag (literally) on
behalf of The Ulysses Club at the June 12th Tuncurry
(NSW) Autofest. This is always an excellent show of
cars, trucks and bikes from all eras of automotive
history.
If you are looking for ways to entice new members to
your Branch and indeed the Club, then taking a leaf
from the Forster Branch is a good start.
I also note that the Manning Valley Branch used the
same idea at a Taree (NSW) motor show in May.
So Branches, take note and put yourselves out there.
Have a great day out and spread the word about the
Ulysses Club.
