Russell organized the annual Cartwheel ride each year. This is
a gathering of all the Branches in SE Qld at the Royal Hotel in
Harrisville. Each Branch organized their own Poker Run to the
event for a nominated fee and the money raised by them is
then donated to UCARF.
He was instrumental in encouraging his members to support
the annual Beardies Festival in Glen Innes, NSW, as well as
the Ipswich Toy Runs each year and the Daniel Morcombe
rides on the Sunshine Coast.
Each year they both assist with the organization of a Barefoot
Bowls charity event at the Scarborough Bowls Club with the
proceeds going towards UCARF and other charities.
Keren is the coordinator for getting the plaques done for
members of all the SEQ Ulysses Banches who have ‘Ridden
