Howdy Members,

It’s been a busy time out here in Outbaccabeyond. No sooner had we
got thru the mice plauge, then the Chinese Flu disease and we have to
start putting snorkles and flippers on all the animals as we get a flood
that hasn’t been seen since that big white fella, Captain Cook waded
         ashore!

We been lucky because me great granddad, Allen ‘Slugger’ Wrench,
built the family home on the only hill in this quarter of the state. There’s
plenty of room for all the animals, although Shaz reckons it’s startin to
get a pongy lately. We haven’t wanted for food or nuthin as the local
SES come by every few days and drop off supplies, that and I been
catchin Murray Cod fishin off the back verandah.

They reckon the water’s going down and everything will be back to nor-
mal soon which I hope they is right as I’m keen to get the DR650 away
for the Ulysses AGM Rally in Lismore. Them folks know what it’s like to
find that your dunny is in full reverse flush eh! Anyways I’ve booked me
place and will be there for sure so don’t forget to say g’day to me.

All this time not bein able to do much out in the paddocks (unless you
got a diving suit that is), I been watchin reruns of them Brit blokes from
Top Gear. I was also rattin around in granddad, Saltus Wrench’s shed
and found the old Morgan 3 wheeler he used to terrorise the town as a
young lad. The old thing is in pretty good nik cept for the seized motor
and drive train. I thought after seein the one on Top Gear that I’d put
somethin else in place of the old JAP motor. Once the water goes down
I’m gonna go see Ole Sarge and see if I can get the disused cop bike in
the shed behind the cop shop. I reckon that Honda ST1100 would be
just the goods for the 3 wheeler, what do yas reckon?

Till next time, keep ya nuts tight eh, Axle.

Sadly I have to report that our group’s previous National Coordi- stay upright!
nator/Co-Coordinator Ken Tacon lost his battle with cancer just
before Christmas. Ken was absolutely passionate about the RV Bob Lucas No 32872
Group, and will be sadly missed. His funeral was well attend- National Coordinator

Christmas and New Year celebrations have
come and gone since last edition and we’re
now well on the way to Easter! Everyone has
been busy holidaying and catching up with
family, so RV rallies have been on the back-
burner. But it all begins again, in all States,
          from February!
