Chris Hill Nearly Spring Ride 24 August
Well a 10 deg temperature didn’t deter too many riders this morning, 18 in fact were in attendance
and with a hint of spring in the air yours truly suggested Avocados. With everyone in agreement we
headed off along Gnangara Rd and through the Swan Valley looking beautiful and green, climbing
up Red Hill with 17 motor bikes in formation in my mirrors did look very impressive. Riding past the
Mundaring Weir car park threw up a couple of interesting heart in your throat moments for both
Andrew on the KTM and BP on his Indian with a couple of kangaroos deciding they liked the other
side of the road better, I am told that after a big fistful of ABS brakes and a lot of skill disaster was
averted.
The rest of our ride was a bit more sedate with lots of beautiful back roads to our coffee destination.
Great to have BP back on his bike and to have his TEC skills once again. Big hi to Dennis hope he
is on the mend, see you all next time
Mike Parker – Wednesday 7 September
It’s about time.
The First of September brings us spring time, Grand Final time, and yes a change is start time for
our Wednesday rides, meet at 0800 for 0830 departure. Yep not all had their timings correct for
today, next week perhaps.
A suggestion from Karen was accepted, Bindoon via Reagan’s Ford and Mogumber. Somehow that
morphed into me leading! Well back on the bike after nearly 2 months, who cares just get the wind
on the face.
