 recorded in June.
/LIH KLVWRU\ Unknown in the Levant, elsewhere:
Univoltine, sometime bivoltine. Eggs are laid singly on
hostplant’s leaves and stems, or in the vicinity on other
plants. The egg is yellow when laid and have 12-15
vertical ribs, ecloses after 7-20 days. Larvae bask in the
morning sun next to the LHP and feed in the warmer hours
of the day on hostplant’s flowers, buds and young leaves.
When disturbed the larva curls its body and falls to the
ground, and between feedings hide in leaves litter at the ©Eddie John
base of the LHP. The L3 enter diapause in the leaves
litter until next spring when it resumes feeding. Pupation
takes place on dry vegetation near the hostplant, adult
eclosed after one to two weeks (Warecki, 2010: 94; © Dubi Benyamini
 Lafranchis et al., 2015: 554-555).
