My grim days of soliciting low commission sales
Back to those grim days when I was so desperate to stay afloat and pay the bills that I’d knock on doors all day trying to find a client so I could earn a $40 commission. The earnings divided by the time soliciting the order, petrol and wear and tear on my beat up old car, not to mention the paperwork, and occasional non payer, worked out at an hourly rate of paltry proportions.
