I remained on this treadmill for more years than I care to admit, until it slowly dawned on me that my strategy was not working. There are only so many hours in the day, and even if there were 100 hours in a day and I worked without sleep my cumulative earnings would still never amount to much.
Now as I reflect on the dramatic change in my life today, it seems almost surreal. Days are often spent waxing lyrical with friends and colleagues about almost everything only occasionally encompassing business.
Relaxed conversations held in coffee shops, whilst watching the rat race unfold outside, building relationships with future partners, invariably result in a tidal wave of business sales. Were I to calculate the hourly revenue generated by these apparent idle hours, it would be astronomical, certainly when measured against those early years of fruitless toil.
These are indeed better days, and infinitely more profitable
So anyway back to the story of the Broker and other friends. This may read like a fable, however this is an entirely true story with only the names changed. If we are ever to meet I might just introduce them. Even as I write these words I find myself amazed at the absolute simplicity of the process as it unfolded.
