I had the pleasure of visiting the fantastic team at
Community Care for Central Hastings on April 3rd, where
we celebrated a significant boost to their volunteer
program, thanks to a $60,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation
grant. This funding is a game-changer, enabling the
development of innovative volunteer recruitment
strategies.
It's great to see how this grant will support essential
services like Meals on Wheels and home help, ensuring
seniors and adults with disabilities in Madoc, Marmora,
Stirling, and Tweed can continue to live independently and
vibrantly.

Every 10 years our riding boundaries are adjusted to reflect population
changes.
Official this week, should an election be called, our riding will be renamed
Hastings—Lennox and Addington—Tyendinaga.
The boundaries will extend to include a part of the City of Quinte West. See
map to the left and link for more details. I look forward to earning your trust.

Canadian veterans are our heroes who have confronted the
horrors of violent combat and those who have maintained
stability while serving in times of peace.
On April 24th, I had an intense, emotional conversation with
Lisa Pim and Claude Rainville sounding alarm bells over
Veterans not getting the services they need. Thank-you for
your insight and commitment for surfacing issues and inspiring
change.
While we should always show these brave men and women
continuous gratitude for their courage and sacrifice, the
important of continuing support is absolutely critical. It is our
responsibility to advocate for people who struggle to advocate
for themselves. Veterans are no exception.
