HAZARDOUS & ELECTRONIC WASTE
The Municipality of Centre Hastings will hold a Hazardous &
Electronic Waste event on September 14, 2024. The event
will take place at the municipal parking lot located at 26
Seymour Street East, Madoc, ON K0K 2K0 from 9am-2pm.
Please be advised that motor oil and scrap metal material will

BACK TO SCHOOL
As you may know, school officially starts Tuesday,
September 3rd, 2024, and our youth and crossing guards
will be on the roadway and walkways. Please be aware of
our crossing walk locations, a map is attached below to
indicate these locations.
1. Durham Street – across from the Market Square
2. Elgin Street – across from Madoc Nursery School
3. Elgin Street & Wellington Street
When there is a school crossing guard in the crosswalk
with a stop sign, drivers must stop before reaching the
crosswalk and remain stopped until all pedestrians,
including the crossing guard, have cleared the roadway.
The fine for failing to stop for a crossing guard is $150 to
LABOUR DAY LANDFILL CLOSURE $500 and three demerit points.
The Madoc Landfill & Recycling Depot will be closed on
Monday, September 2nd, 2024, in observance of Labour Day. THANK YOU LIONS!
It will resume operations on Wednesday, with hours from 8 Madoc Lions proud of our volunteer Fire Fighters.

LABOUR DAY OFFICE CLOSURE commitment, and community"
The municipal office is closed on Monday, September
2nd,2024 in observance of Labour Day. Regular municipal
operations will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.
