LET’S PAINT
HUMU FISH
FINS, start to finish: Use the Step-by-Step pictures.
1. With #6 round brush, basecoat all five fins twice with two
coats of Blue Harbor. Let dry.
2. All fins: With #3 round brush, place Light Buttermilk with
washy contour strokes. Dry.
3. All fins: Two coats of Snow (Titanium) White with liner, thin strokes on each fin. Follow the contour lines from step #2. Dry.
4. All fins: With the 5/8" angle brush float Snow (Titanium) White at the top of each fin twice. With liner, repeat thin lines on fins if needed to make them brighter.
Please Note: The PECTORAL FIN (on the side) is painted when the Lamp (Ebony) Black section is dry. Float in this fin with Light Buttermilk. When dry, outline the gill opening with True Red and place a Wild Orchid line on the outer edge of the fin.

Stage 2: FISH BODY Use #6 round brush unless a different brush is specified
1. Two or three coats of Marigold on the upper body to cover the Light Buttermilk and two coats of Marigold on the eye.
2.Two or three coats of Snow (Titanium) White on the front of the body to cover the Light Buttermilk.
3.The vertical line between the tail and the body is two coats of True Red highlighted with Watermelon Slice+ Warm Sunset.
4.Paint the orange triangle on the body with two coats of Warm Sunset and dry-brush a highlight with a mix of Warm Sunset and a little Marigold.
5.Put Lamp (Ebony) Black on the large black stripe and the black triangle.
6.With the 5/8" angle brush: Float Dioxazine Purple on the left side of the top and bottom gills and the bottom tail fin. Let dry. Repeat if needed.
7. With the 5/8" angle brush and Wild Orchid, float at the base of the top gills, the top of the tail and the lower body from the Lamp (Ebony) Black band to the mouth. Repeat if needed.
8.With the liner brush and Wild Orchid, outline the top two fins and the top of the tail fin.
9. Transfer the pectoral fin to the body. Sideload the angle brush with Light Buttermilk to form the pectoral fin. Repeat to make it stand out from the body. When dry, with the liner brush, paint thin lines on this fin with Light Buttermilk+Snow (Titanium) White. When dry, form the edge of the gill with the liner brush and True Red, twice. With the liner brush, paint the outer edge of the gill fin with Wild Orchid.
  Stage 1: FISH BODY Use #6 and #2 round brushes
1. Paint large, upper parts of the body and the large front of
the body with two coats of Light Buttermilk.
2.The large black stripe on the mid-body and the small black triangle by the tail are painted with two coats of Lamp (Ebony) Black.
3.The vertical stripe and the triangle by tail are two coats of Antique Gold.
4.The eye is Antique Gold.
