NATIONAL INTEGRATION DAY
Celebrated every year on 31 October, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas/National Integration Day marks the birth
anniversary of the “Iron Man of India,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a pivotal role in unifying the
diverse princely states to form the modern Indian nation. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is not just a day to remember
this iconic figure but also an occasion to promote the ideals of national integration, patriotism, and unity
among the citizens of India. In tune with this thought, Our college political Science Department celebrated
this day to pay homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. Dr.M.Sundara Rao,
Lecturer in Political Science, made the students aware about the importance of Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel’s contribution and his key role in the integration of the princely states into the Indian
Federation and enlightened the students about the freedom struggle.
