VOTER REGISTRATION AND AWARENESS RALLY

The Department of Political Science at VSR GDC Movva, in collaboration with the MRO Office

Movva, organized a Voter Registration and Awareness Rally on 24 November 2023. The event aimed to
encourage voter registration, promote civic awareness, and emphasize the importance of active participation

in the democratic process.

Objectives:
o To facilitate Voter Registration: The primary goal was to provide students and the local

community with the necessary resources and guidance to register as voters.
o To raise Civic Awareness: The rally aimed to enhance civic awareness by educating

participants on the significance of voting in a democratic society and the impact it has on
shaping the future.

o To collaborate with MRO Office: The collaboration with the MRO Office Movva ensured the

availability of official resources and support for a smooth voter registration process.
In this regard, the Department of Political Science conducted Essay Writing, Elocution and Quiz

competitions for the students.
The Voter Registration and Awareness Rally conducted by the Department of Political Science at

VSR GDC Movva in association with the MRO Office Movva on 24 November 2023, proved to be a
successful initiative in promoting civic engagement. By facilitating voter registration and disseminating

information, the event contributed to strengthening democratic values and encouraging active participation

in the electoral process.
