Cladogram
A cladogram is a diagram showing the relationships of closely related organisms. The
cladogram is a type of phylogenetic tree. But that only shows the relationship between
clades and a common ancestor. A cladogram is a diagram similar to a tree drawn using
lines. Kladogram nodes will represent between two groups of the same ancestor.
The ways or stages in making a cladogram include :
specify the organism you want to make a cladogram.
write down the characteristics of the organism.
note the differences and characteristics.
create a cladogram chart.
enter the list of organisms and their differences into the cladogram chart that has
been made.
Example: make a cladogram of the following living things :
1. a cow
2. the rabbit
3. mujahir fish
4. a horse
