“NYAA is a meaningful journey of self-discovery. In a self-directed programme, you identify your own
needs, design your journey and take charge of your progress. Through this process, you became more
self-aware of what you are good at or your shortcoming and how to do better. You learned patience,
perseverance, and humanity; simultaneously, I hope that you will develop your leadership skills,
self-reliance, sense of service, and responsibility to yourself and our society. The NYAA journey has
become more important as we face the COVID-19 crisis. This is the most serious challenge our nation
has faced in this generation. I am glad you spend time and energy serving our community and those
in need around you. Your kindness and compassion have helped us emerge into a stronger, more
inclusive, and resilient society.”

“This has been a challenging period for all of us to manage the impact of the COVID-19
pandemic. And that is why your achievements this year have taken on greater
significance. We are very proud of what you have done and how you have risen to
the challenges and given up your time and efforts to serve the community and help
those who are more disadvantaged and vulnerable. I am sure the experiences and
lessons from the programme will continue to guide you through life and inspire all of
you to be the change you want to see around you. So congratulations once again, and
all the best in your continued learning journey.”
