a variety of innovative training and
industry-focused learning
opportunities tailored to the needs
of local businesses. We review
and adapt these annually to keep
up with new developments in our
industries and provide you with
the most in-demand skills.
Between late 2021 and early 2022, we ran
a COVID Conversations webinar series to
provide much-needed advice and
support to local businesses during the
pandemic. Using a mix of our internal
expertise and external mentors and
partners, the sessions covered a range of
topics, including COVID Safe practices,
government support entitlements,
managing cash flow, mental health, as
well as how to pivot and adapt business
models.
The team continued to readily adapt to
the changing business environment in
response to COVID-19, providing
flexibility in delivering our services to
cater to all needs of Marlborough
We also extended businesses. We hosted training online
our scope of and in person on various topics, mainly in
the soft skills space (effective leadership,
offerings to allow management, time management, and
emotional intelligence). While the year’s
us to deliver a new attendance numbers were not pre-COVID
suite of courses to levels, it was an opportunity to have
concentrated, intense learnings and
help set us up for workshops with the experts who
conducted the training sessions.
