Heavy Horses like these can only work on roads for a limited number of
years.
The pounding from the road up their legs would cause them permanent
damage if continued for too long. There is also an unbroken rule at Young
and Co's stables. Horses must never be trotted.
This is the reason that Ebony came back to us after working in London for 8
years. That was his limit.
