This is Joe House, who was
to become Ebony's one and
only “driver” for the entire 8
years Ebony stayed at the
London brewery.

Ebony has four white feet
which is one of the main
reasons that Harry Ranson
agreed to have him for the
Brewery.

At Young and Co, Ebony gradually
became the horse that was used
to teach all the young horses what was
to be expected of them.

During his time in London, Ebony
appeared on the BBC Children's
Television programme, “Blue Peter”.

He also met HM Queen Elizabeth, the
Queen Mother when she visited the
Brewery and he also took part in her
Birthday Parade at “Horse Guards”
Parade in Central London.
