“Navita” on winter berth, close to Keightleys boatyard.

The fact that we had been forced into losing our savings by
the Government was still in the forefront of our minds and on
one particular visit to our local boatyard we got into
conversation with “Grandfather” Reg. Keightley who showed
us the plans to a very attractive sailing cutter that he had
            “always wanted to build”.
We did not ponder for long and returned the next week to
ask the Keightley family for full details of the pretty little boat.
Reg. took us outside where he had been saving a huge
length of oak to form the keel, the very backbone of this
project. We decided to call her “Peregrine” and after agreeing
on the final price “on the water”, Reg. began to build the boat of
            his dreams!
