               WEST STREET
                Of the two sites in Boston, the better showroom was in the
            town’s West Street.  Altogether a smarter set up, there was a
            nice but rather small area leading on to the main thoroughfare
            where the new models from the factory were displayed.
               On one side next door was Cheers, a distinguished, old
            established tailors shop. On the other, Scotneys the jewellers
            and watchmakers.























               All these had been my clients when I worked for the
            “Standard” although “the garage” was never known to spend
            much money on advertising.
               The dealership offices above these premises were
            dominated by a very well built lady with a voice to match.
            Curiously, her husband was slightly built and going a bit “thin
            on top”. He also worked at the West Street premises as the odd
            job man.
               On reflection, it is obvious that although the new owners
            inherited a complete dealership package when they bought the
