There was a further extension at the rear to incorporate a dining room.
Aunt Ruth's legacy paid for all this work.
It was some consolation for loosing Ivy House but even so Ruth never managed to come
to terms with that initial trauma.
During my second year in Skegness, I could see that the little town of Spilsby, close to my
home at Northcote was lacking a local newspaper, something the local population could
grasp as their own.
