1.13 Social Media

We are aware that social media is a big part of most people’s lives now but we remind you
to always consider what is appropriate. Please do not get involved with any kind of social
media rants or arguments involving your job or working conditions.

It can be very disruptive to people and in fact, very hurtful. Even if your comments are meant
in jest they can often be misinterpreted or misunderstood and ultimately could amount to
what we consider to be bullying. Please also remember, you might THINK your profile is set
to ‘private’ but that does not stop someone showing someone else until your comment is in
fact, very public!

Please think carefully – would you like to see such comments about you or someone you
care about?

employees handbook.
