            31.4 Discovering Loose Wheel Nuts

If you discover loose wheel nuts, and there is evidence of excessive damage and wear,
contact the Transport/Fleet Manager for advice. If only a few wheel nuts are discovered to
be loose, then the wheel nuts need to be re-torqued to the manufacturer’s recommended
torque setting before the vehicle is driven.

Record loose wheel nuts and any other wheel related defects as a defect on the R2C App.

Check Your Wheel Nuts & Record the Re-Torque.

This will provide proof that this has been carried

out and can be used in your defence that safe

                         working practices have been followed.
